2016 Lexus ES 350 Reveal Coming This Month

Lexus is about to reveal their 2016 ES 350 at the Shanghai Auto Show, after months of eager anticipation for the latest edition of the incredibly popular luxury model. In fact, the ES line is actually Lexus’s overall best-selling.

The basic ES 350 and the ES300h hybrid variants likely won’t have many changes, but that makes sense, considering how well-received and well-liked those versions of the ES already are.

However, the general look of the ES will evolve to reflect the latest trends in auto design, as is always true of the most modern Lexus models. The infotainment system and interior will certainly be upgraded with the latest tech, as well.

Since the 2016 ES is only getting its debut this month, it will likely be about at least a year before the vehicle is available for purchase.

Are you looking forward to the 2016 Lexus ES 350 reveal? Let us know what you think about the next best Lexus in the comments below.

The Latest Generation Lexus RX Looks To Continue Impressive Performance

As USA Today notes, the Lexus RX “defined a new vehicle segment 17 years ago.” A third of Lexus sales go to the RX. The automaker just revealed the latest-generation at the New York International Auto Show. How did Lexus handle the pressure that such a reputation creates?

The latest generation Lexus RX saw improvements in every area, including “a new more streamlined look.” That look is made possible by a very bold and attractive spindle grille as well as blacked-out C-pillars that create the effect of a “floating roofline.”

The new RX boasts quite a “luxurious interior,” as well. A retractable panoramic moonroof adds class and excitement inside the cabin. The second row seats are heated.

New safety technologies naturally found their new into the 2016 Lexus RX. It’s a package called Lexus Safety System+ and includes a collision avoidance system which can brake and/or steer in the event of an unavoidable collision.

From the looks of it, the Lexus RX will continue to define the crossover for years to come.

Lexus Safety System+ Debuts on All-New RX Crossover

It is not uncommon that an all-new product will feature new and improved technologies. In fact, that is what we would expect. It is not often, however, that those newer technologies are made available at a price lower than the industry standard. Fortunately, such is the case with the new Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+).

The technology package features low-cost automated braking for the next-generation RX luxury SUV as a foundational function for the system’s numerous safe-driving capabilities. The LSS+ system includes the Pedestrian Pre-collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beam, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

“With the new LSS+ system, we offer drivers an added level of occupant safety in a conveniently bundled package that leverages some of the latest accident prevention technology,” said Jeff Bracken, group vice president and general manager of the Lexus Division. “We certainly expect the proliferation of these features to continue throughout the luxury vehicle market and our Lexus lineup as the industry remains steadfast in the pursuit of enhanced vehicle safety.”

In addition to the all-new RX, the LSS+ will be made available in four additional models by the end of the year. For more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us here at Lexus of Orland.

2015 Lexus NX 300h Price and Value – A Recipe for Success

When the Lexus RX revolutionized the luxury crossover segment in 1998, Lexus set the bar high for the luxury sport utility vehicle segment. But what about that smaller niche compact crossover segment? Now the wait is over! Joining the RX for the first time is a compact crossover offering that has the promise to maintain those lavish standards.

The 2015 Lexus NX 300h price, capability, luxury options, and quality are just what consumers want. The NX 300h employs the wildly popular Lexus Hybrid technology that combines the 2.5-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors to allow for the best fuel economy in the segment – 33 combined mpg. The plush and quiet interior offers surprising amounts of passenger room for the size, and with a starting price of $40,665, the hybrid’s value is peerless. Buyers can easily add luxury and navigation options to customize the already well-equipped crossover to personalize specifications.

For those looking for a conventional powertrain, a turbocharged engine option, the 2015 Lexus NX 200T offers big power with smaller price tag.

Offering High-Octane Power and Luxury: 2015 Lexus IS Performance

The new 2015 Lexus IS provides drivers with a high-octane experience they won’t find anywhere else. This four-door model comes with an optional 3.5-liter engine and plenty of power, as well as a sleek new design. Your jaw will definitely drop when you see the new IS.

According to Prescott News, the new IS is the latest in Lexus performance, featuring a 3.5-liter V6 cranking out over 300 hp. That’s not all – the new model also has dual overhead cams, direct injection, and variable valve timing. The new 2015 Lexus IS’ performance is incredible, capable of doing 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds.

“Though both raw ambition and determination are required in order to outwit European rivals, the Lexus brand continues to stake its claim within the compact luxury segment with the venerable IS,” said Prescott editor John Kehlenbeck.

The new model is also available in the F-package, which comes with a redesigned interior, new wheels, a sports suspension, and an array of other features. Although Lexus is well-known for its luxury, the new IS is forcing enthusiasts to re-label the brand a sports car manufacturer.

Lexus Sales per Dealership Rise 13 Percent; 2nd Overall

When comparing performances between car manufacturers, most people only look at their sales. But different numbers tell different stories, and one oft ignored number is particularly telling: dealership throughput.

Last year, Lexus sales per dealership edged out Honda for the #2 spot among US light-vehicles. Our parent company Toyota-Scion remained at the top for throughput, but Lexus was catching up.

In 2014, Toyota led all brands with a throughput of 1,670 units, up 5 percent from the previous year. The average per-franchise sales for the industry went up about 5.9 percent over the same period, thanks to the recovering economy, though 11 out of 40 brands still declined—including Volkswagen and Ford.

Despite being slightly up in terms of improvement, Toyota was still way ahead of its competitors in total numbers. Its luxury brand, however, made big gains. Vehicle sales jumped 14 percent, and because only one new dealership was opened in 2014, that meant sales per franchise had gone up 13 percent.

All in all, it’s a great time to be a Lexus dealership. We can attest to that fact here at Lexus of Orland!

Lexus Enjoys 4th Straight Year as J.D. Power’s Most Dependable Brand

Becoming the auto industry’s most dependable brand is no easy feat, and to remain the most dependable auto brand for 4 straight years could prove near-impossible. That seems to be the case for some, but not for Lexus.

Once again, Lexus has proven to be number one when it comes to vehicle dependability, and a celebration is in store! The 2015 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) revealed the number of problems reported by Lexus owners was the lowest among all automakers.

The VDS measures owner complaints of their 2012 model year vehicles as they’ve reached the third year of ownership. The Lexus ES and GX were ranked highest in their respective categories, recording the lowest rate of issues, as well.

Being recognized as the most dependable brand year after year is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of Lexus. If you’re looking for an elite vehicle lineup and even better customer service, stop by Lexus of Orland for a car experience unlike any other!

No Lexus Supercar Successor Anytime Soon

As the Geneva Motor Show approaches, Lexus has answered one huge question: Will there be a successor to the LFA anytime soon? No. The answer is, unfortunately, no. Lexus cites the six figure price tag as the primary reason.

“I think you will see us do some incredible things in the future, but probably not a $375,000 supercar anytime soon,” said Mark Templin, executive vice president of Lexus International, told Automotive News. “We don’t have a plan for an LFA successor right now.”

Instead, Lexus is going to focus on its mainstream vehicles. That focus will be on the F Sport tuner packages and F-series high performance variants. The ghost of the LFA remains, though. The spindle grille across the lineup and sharper sheet metal on the NX crossover are both remnants of what engineers learned in the LFA’s production.

“It was a great project because it inspired our engineers, and we learned a lot that is helping us with all our other products,” Templin said. “Everything they learned about steering precision and great suspensions and lightweight materials.”

The LFA’s production was limited to two years. A 552 hp V10 engine filled out under the hood. It was a hit, too. In 2010, the limited edition hand-built LFA sold out before production even began. Oh, and the LFA will also be making its eighth straight appearance at the Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race.

New Lexus Sports Sedan Pushes Brand in New Direction

Lexus Sports Sedan

Lexus, the Toyota Motor Corporation’s luxury vehicle branch, has always been known more for grace, elegance, and prestige than for pure performance. A new Lexus sports sedan, the IS 250, is out to change all that, however. The IS 250 still has the style inherent to a Lexus, of course, but it’s also a zippy, throaty, and exciting sports car.

The sedan doesn’t try to get too big for its britches, and that’s a good thing. It comes with a 2.5-liter V6 engine that churns out 204 horsepower, a number that might not blow you away but that is pretty remarkable for a sedan of the IS 250’s size. Plus, it can still get you 30 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg in the city, numbers that actually should blow you away.

You can drive the 250 in one of three modes—Eco , Normal, and Sport—and you can even turn on the “Snow” button to grind through bad road conditions in the winter. In true Lexus fashion, the sedan also looks and feels great, both inside and out, so come see us at Lexus of Orland to check it out for yourself today.

1,000 Video Ads Created for Lexus Facebook Campaign

In the automotive industry, marketing is key. To help garner the most attention possible, Lexus is taking a route that is sure to turn even more heads, thanks to over 1,000 unique video ads to use on Facebook. Each of these advertisements is tailored to specific niche audiences across Facebook, showing each audience member an advertisement that is perfect for them.

“This is about tailoring and customizing ad to our target audience,” said Lexus media manager, Teri Hill.

“We wanted to tell relevant stories by using objects in consumers’ lives,” added Alastair Green, executive creative director at ad agency Team One, which helped create the campaign,

And it looks like the tailored add has hit the spot. Already, these types of advertisements are taking hold in online banner advertising and it looks like they won’t stop there. The Lexus Facebook campaign is set to run through March, making a lasting impression on Facebook users everywhere.

If you are interested in seeing one of the advertised Lexus models in person, don’t forget to stop in to the showroom at Lexus of Orland!
